The April 10-16 Heart Health Week Event, organized by the IU School of Nursing Social Scientific Activities Commission within the scope of the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Turkey Events, was held on April 15, 2024 at the IU Faculty of Medicine Hospital Internal Diseases Outpatient Clinic.

Second grade nursing students provided one-on-one health education to patients and their relatives on protecting heart health with educational brochures. The height and weight of the patients and their relatives were measured and their body mass indexes were calculated. Information was given on healthy nutrition, physical activity and smoking. The blood pressure of the patients and their relatives was measured and evaluated. After the training and evaluations, heart-shaped, handmade buckles, key chains and badges made by the students were given as gifts.
